Court Yard Hounds are sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Robison. They might already look familiar, that’s because they’re both members of the very fantastic Dixie Chicks. The project came about as a result of wanting to be creative, yet, a new Dixie Chicks album was not possible as lead singer Natalie Maines was not ready to make an album, so Martie and Emily embarked on a side project in order to release their creativity. Emily Robison takes duties as lead vocalist and guitarist, whilst Martie reprises her Dixie Chicks role of fidalist and background vocalist.
