It’s Definitely A Grower!

The Saturdays are back with a new single called ‘Missing You’ - it certainly takes a few listens but it’s worth it! The single will be released on 9th August ahead of their mini album entitled ‘Headlines’ on 16th August. The mini album will feature 8 tracks – 5 new songs with 3 songs from their last album ‘Wordshaker’.

If you’re into behind-the-scenes of making pop videos – you’re in luck!

I Blame Coco

What Went On At Wireless 2010!

We spent much of the weekend at the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park. This is what we got up to…

We saw I Blame Coco (above) and she was sooooo AMAZING, fantastic live, grrreat energy, clear vocals, awesome dancing!

We saw Eliza Doolittle on the bandstand stage and as always she was incredible – her mash-up of Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ with ‘Replay’ by Iyaz was a ace!

Pink’s entrance and dare-devil antics were breathtaking… certainly one of the most fearless and entertaining performers around. Highlights of what you missed below…

The Gossip’s cover of Tina Turner’s ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ was a revelation – Beth Ditto sounded beautiful throughout their set.

We also popped along to see Daisy Dares You, Lawson, Chipmunk, Lily Allen and Jay-Z. The tent housing Plan B’s set was rammed and the same tent for Professor Green’s set was a no go area… you couldn’t get anywhere near! Professor Green made a guest appearance on the main stage joining Lily Allen to perform their forthcoming single ‘Just Be Good To Green’, the video for which you can see below.

In the guest area on Friday we spotted Darius, Coco Sumner (I Blame Coco), Perez Hilton and Simon Bird (The Inbetweeners). Whilst on Sunday, we spotted Keisha Buchanan, Preeya Kalidas, Vanessa Feltz and Olly Murs.

Happy 4th July!

‘Flesh Tone’ is one of the greatest albums released so far this year, it has everything you could want – great songs, superb vocals and magnificent production. The second single from the album is ’4th Of July (Fireworks)’ and it’s a corker, a real hands in the air number.

The video was shot by Rankin and will be available to download as a remix EP from 4th July funnily enough! A CD single is available tomorrow, backed with the Calvin Harris remix of the track.

Kelis recently recorded a live session for her US label Cherrytree Records… the three tracks performed semi-acoustically include the single ’4th July (Fireworks)’, the terrific ’22nd Century’ and a gorgeous version of a track from the album entitled ‘Brave’. The EP is only currently available in the US, so for now enjoy these tracks in the video form below…
