The sensationally fabulous Robyn returns with the second installment of the Body Talk project this week. ‘Body Talk, Pt. 2’ is stunningly brilliant… sonically the whole collection explores new territory but importantly retains the distinctive Robyn sound. This time around, the beats are harder and more refined.

The lead track from the record (which is released as a single in the UK this week) is a re-imagined version of ‘Hang With Me’, which originally appeared as an acoustic version on ‘Body Talk, Pt. 1’, the new version captures the beauty of the acoustic version wonderfully and Robyn’s yearning vocal delivery is sublime.

Elsewhere, opening track ‘In My Eyes’ is epic… it reunites Robyn with Kleerup (producer of ‘With Every Heartbeat’) and the pair unite with the musical greatness of Klas Åhlund, together they create something quite marvellous. ‘Include Me Out’ is a great vibe song, it has real swagger and attitude. ‘Love Kills’ is an energetic dancefloor anthem, it’s a warning to everyone about the dangers of love “protect yourself cause you’ll wrack yourself, In this cold hard world, cause you know that love kills”. ‘We Dance To The Beat’ is an experimental track, encompassing many different styles and beats – it has relentless energy and a real intensity. ‘Indestructible’ is a gorgeous acoustic number, which will be transformed into a big giant smash hit to launch ‘Body Talk, Pt. 3’. The iTunes bonus track ‘Bad Gal’ is a collaboration with Savage Skulls & Douster and is well worth checking out too!
