Manic Street Peachers are one of the greatest bands ever, they have released some truly breathtaking and completely amazing music over the years… on Monday (20th September) they will release their tenth studio album ‘Postcards From A Young Man’. The album is currently streaming in full ahead of it’s official release via we7, you can listen here.
The album itself is a truly great… it’s catchy and infectious, full of big giant sounds, huge choruses and hooks, the writing as always is thought provoking and relevant... James Dean Bradfield sounds sublime and enigmatic throughout especially on the thumpingly good ‘A Billion Balconies Facing The Sun’. Impressively it sounds like a thoroughly well crafted and cohesive record for example nothing feels as if it doesn’t belong or as if it’s out of place. Another tremendously fantastic album!
The lead single from the album ‘(It’s Not War) Just the End Of Love’ is released this week and is backed with FIVE b-sides across two digital EP’s or physical CD’s – you can’t beat a good old Manics b-side or five!
To celebrate the release of ‘Postcards From A Young Man’ Amazon are giving away a live version of ‘Faster’ until 27th September, which you can get here. On 29th September, the band begin a full UK tour, starting in Glasgow, all of the details (venues and dates) are available from the bands MySpace page here.
