How does this amazing, stunningly incredible woman fit it all in? However, she does it Alesha Dixon is rightly everywhere at the moment, not even mentioning the promotion, video shoots, jewelry range, Strictly Come Dancing, switching on Christmas lights, deals with Mailbu (we could go on by the way)… here is a small taster of what she’s up to.
On Wednesday night Alesha did a grand job hosting the 2010 MOBO Awards in Liverpool, alongside Reggie Yates. She also found time to give a dazzling performance of ‘Drummer Boy’.
Last night, Ms Dixon appeared on the first episode of the twenty-fourth series of music panel show ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’… Alesha appeared on the winning team alongside Phill Jupitus and Mollie King from The Saturdays.
Alesha is the guest vocalist on the new Roll Deep track entitiled ‘Take Control’. It’s another fun slice of upbeat pop music and Alesha does a superb job on vocals and heightens the glamour stakes in the video too. It will surely give the collective their third consecutive UK number one single when released on 31st October.
Alesha’s forthcoming single is the tremendously fabulous! The track entitled ‘Radio’ is an impressive, huge sounding, big giant infectious sing-a-long, hands in the air number with clever verses and catchy hooks. The track was produced by Naughty Boy, with additional production from the up and coming Scarrs.
We think comparisons are lazy here at Pop Cart but considering it’s Friday – we’re going in for a comparison… sonically, it reminds us of ‘Dancing On My Own’ by Robyn and ‘Missing You’ by The Saturdays… however, there’s no doubting that it’s a glorious track from Alesha Dixon! She also looks beyond beautiful on the promo CD sleeve.
‘Radio’ is due for release on 28th November and is the second track to be taken from Alesha’s album ‘The Entertainer’, which will be released on 29th November.
Finally, Alesha has made her third documentary entitled ‘Don’t Hit My Mum’, which examines the affect on children who witness domestic abuse. The documentary screens on BBC1 on Monday 15th November.
Phew… VERY exciting times for us Alesha lovers!
