Bright Light Bright Light – ‘This Is Me Without You’

Rod releases ‘Moves’ as the final single from his phenomeonal debut album ‘Make Me Believe In Hope‘ on June 10th. The track is available as an EP which is backed by two remixes, a new version of ‘Blueprints’ and a brand new track ‘This Is Me Without You’, which is a heartfelt and tender piano led track that describes the bittersweet ending of a relationship “this is me without you, no-one is to blame, you didn’t leave me quite the way you came, I made my peace with what you couldn’t say. I move on without you and hope that you are doing the same” – the vocal is arresting and heartbreakingly honest and knowing in its delivery.

Dawn Richard – ‘Alive’

At work on her follow-up to the incredible ‘Goldenheart‘, Dawn Richard has recently been sharing insights as to the direction and more specifically sounds that ‘Blackheart’ will encompass. This rough demo was written and produced by Deonte and continues the experimental sound Dawn has courted throughout her incredible solo work to date.

Disclosure – ‘When A Fire Starts To Burn’

‘Settle’, the debut album from Disclosure is all kinds of AMAZING! The three singles to date have shown the quality and range within of material that the duo offer – there is strength in the production and each of the collaborations feel unique and necessary – the tracks with Jessie Ware, Jamie Woon and Sasha Keable are FIRE! This week duo have debuted ‘When A Fire Starts To Burn’ which is another shining example of how they are able to switch their sound to create effortless soundscapes that envelop and captivate.

Solange – ‘Looks Good With Trouble’

Following the recent announcement, that Solange has singed a deal with Colombia Records and has set up her own label, Solange now offers ‘Looks Good With Trouble’ as the latest release from her recent and completely magnificent EP ‘True‘. However, this time there is a twist, thanks to the addition of a verse provided by Kendrick Lamar. The sultry and brooding slow jam is perfect Kendrick’s thoughtful and incisive flow.

Ciara – ‘I’m Out’

Ahead of the release of her fifth studio, self-titled album on 8th July, Ciara has unveiled a track from the record in the shape of ‘I’m Out’ which features Nicki Minaj. The song is a bold, vibin swag anthem with pounding bassline and dancebeat – the track is built around several atmospheric sounds and movements that create a unique and visionary sound and is ultimately perfect given that the track opens the album.
