*Side Effects Of You‘ is the title track from Fantasia’s latest studio album and is now to receive single treatment. The track penned by Emeli Sandé alongside Naughty Boy has been transformed from its powerful, overblown production sounds to a simpler piano led song with orchestral flecks – it allows the sheer magnificence and beauty to take centre stage.

*Pitbull has recorded a new track and this time has roped in Kesha to provide the hook. ‘Timber’ is a harmonica fuelled track that is yet another insanely catchy song from Mr. Worldwide.

*Diplo released a new EP this week titled ‘Revolution’. Following on from his expansive ‘Express Yourself’ EP, this latest work continues the creatively incessant and propulsive sound and which ensures that he remains a step ahead of his contemporaries.

*Clare Maguire has covered a Sarah Vaughn classic, ‘Black Coffee’. Clare will perform the track live during her shows this month. She captures the essence and melancholy of the lyric with gutsy precision.

*Following last months upload, ‘A Heart That Breaks Is A Heart That Wastes Its Time‘ Elle King has previewed a further two new tracks through her SoundCloud page. ‘Somebody’s Castin Spells On Me’ provides an acoustic outing that is propelled by handclaps and a gritty vocal whilst ‘A Good Run’ contains a gorgeous multilayered vocal set against a fervent banjo backing.

*With a week until ‘Shulamith‘, the new Poliça record is released, and so the band have previewed another track included on the album. ‘Warrior Lord’ offers a moody, groove led sound that concentrates on the vocal delivery set against minimal flourishes.

*Alicia Keys has recorded a new song that appears on the soundtrack to forthcoming film ‘The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister & Pete’. The song ‘Better You, Better Me’ is reflective piano ballad with an unexpected forceful chorus that is filled with questioning, a self-searching lyric that creates an air of defiant positivity.

*TLC are releasing a twentieth anniversary retrospective titled ’20’ on Monday. The collection features their well known, ground breaking hits such as ‘Waterfalls’, ‘Creep’ and ‘Unpretty’ and as well as a new Ne-Yo penned track ‘Meant To Be’. The track is a luscious harmony filled track with an additive chorus and well intentioned lyric.

*Avril Lavigne has debuted a new track that will be released as a single internationally and is taken from her forthcoming self-titled album. The track ‘Let Me Go’ features husband Chad Kroeger and offers a vast sonic change to her previous brattish offerings  ‘Here’s To Never Growing Up’ and ‘Rock N Roll’ and it is all the better for a change in pace and style as the brooding, mysterious sound works wonders.

*Arlissa has provided Littlewoods with the theme for its Christmas TV advertising campaign. The track ‘Into The Light’ is a typically classic sounding, dusky and spirited track that is underpinned with Arlissa’s mighty fine vocal.
