The divine Frances Ruffelle continues to delight and astound with her accomplishments. Here’s a few highlights of her forthcoming activities and happenings…
*This week sees the release of an album by FosseyTango titled ‘Lovechild’ to which Frances has contributed two sonic gems. The musical project is a charitable endeavour with proceeds from sales going towards the Love A Child Foundation which supports orphanages in Burma, Thailand and Ecuador. The two songs provided by Frances include ‘Before I Open My Mouth’, the gloriously lively duet with daughter Eliza Doolittle, which originally appeared on Frances’ stunning 2010 album ‘Imperfectly Me‘.
The second track, which can be streamed below is titled ‘Lady Melody’ and is in collaboration with Phil Manzanera and is a clash of musical styles with an overarching bluesy affair with hip-hop elements and naturally Frances turns in an unmeasurable vocal performance ranging from seductive to completely heavenly! The album is available from iTunes with further information regarding the project available here.
*Following the senational initial run of her magnificent spectacular ‘Paris Original‘ in October, Frances has announced a second series of dates due to popular demand that will once again take place at Crazy Coqs and run from 4th to the 8th February 2014 – tickets priced £30 are on sale here.

*In the new year Frances will be involved in a new theatrical production of ‘The A-Z Of Mrs P’ at the Southwork Playhouse which runs from 20th Febrary until 29th March. The production charts the life and achievements of Phyllis Pearsall who was a painter and writer who in 1935 began to map London and subsequently ran the Geographers’ A-Z Map Company. The piece is described as “a musical fable inspired by the autobiographies of Phyllis Pearsall”, Frances portrays the character Bella. Tickets and further cast and creative details can be found here.
