BIG congrats to Dannii Minogue who gave birth to a baby boy called Ethan Edward on 7th July.
Also, BIG congrats to Sonia, who gave birth to a baby girl Gracie Rose on 20th June.
Another BIG congrats to Kylie Minogue who entered the UK album chart at number 1 with ‘Aphrodite’ (which, is very very fantastic and if you haven’t given it a whirl yet – do!)
A final BIG congrats to Frances Ruffelle whose theatre piece ‘Songs From The Hotel Bedroom’ at the Royal Opera House in November is nearly sold out after only three days on-sale to the general public – a few tickets are still available from the ROH website by clicking here.

Shakira will play UK arenas in December, tickets go on sale from Friday 2nd July!

Ciara’s fourth album ‘Basic Instinct’ is due for release (US) on 24th August (presumably 23rd August here in the UK). The first single ‘Ride’ is released officially here in the UK on Sunday 4th July!
The new Sarah McLachlan album ‘Laws Of Illusion’ is stunningly good, it’s full of upbeat gems and reflective musings… ‘Forgiveness’ is a particularly gorgeous highlight. The lead single ‘Loving You Is Easy’ is lovely and the official video below is rather cute!

The Frances Ruffelle website has been fully updated and is packed with loads of glorious information about Frances’ forthcoming projects – HURRAH, HURRAH and HURRAH!!!
Firstly, on July 26th, Frances will release ‘The Frances Ruffelle EP’. It will be released digitally and will include the songs

3. It’s Alright With Me
4. Alabama Song
During August, Frances will be performing her awesome show ‘Beneath The Dress’ at the Edinburgh Festival. You can buy tickets here.
On 6th September, Frances will release her hotly anticipated and long awaited fourth studio album entitled ‘Imperfectly Me’.
On 13th September, Frances’ three previous and all very AMAZING albums ‘Fragile’, ‘Frances Ruffelle’ and ‘Showgirl’ will be re-released digitally.
Also, in 2005 Frances teamed up with Sam Boner under the group name paTala. Their stunningly good album ‘Purify’ will be re-released digitally on September 27th!
In November will play Angelique in the piece ‘Songs From The Hotel Bedroom’ which will be performed in Watford, Ipswich and London’s Royal Opera House.

Here is some stuff that we found out and thought you should know too… so, here’s what we know!
The MOST beautiful woman in the world, the extremely talented Frances Ruffelle is gearing up to release new music at the end of July… HURRAH! Frances will release a four track EP entitled ‘Lucky Day’ ahead of the new as-yet-untitled fourth album which, is scheduled for release in September.
Last week, the very AMAZING Natasha Bedingfield released a song entitled ‘Touch’ which is a taster from her forthcoming album. The song is currently only available from the US iTunes store but will be available in other territories soon. Natasha performed the deliciously awesome track live on The Ellen Show this week – click here to see her performance.
The incredible Janelle Monáe also performed on The Ellen Show this week, you can see her stunningly good performance of ‘Tightrope’ by clicking here.
Sarah McLachlan has recorded some track-by-track video’s about the songs that will appear on her forthcoming album ‘Laws Of Illusion’. It’s interesting to hear how she tackled the writing and recording process and the inspiration behind the songs – it’s also great to see short live interpretations of the tracks too… you can see more videos like the one by visiting her official website here.
Christina Aguilera has also recorded some track by track videos about the songs from her new album ‘Bionic’, you should check them out at the newly revamped official Christina Aguilera website by clicking here.
Finally, Shakira has recorded the official theme for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The track ‘Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)’ is included on ‘Listen Up! The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Album’ which is released in the UK on 31st May. Shakira will perform the track at the closing ceremony on 11th July. Below, is a behind-the-scenes making of the video feature, which shows Shakira and several footballers in action filming the video using 3D technology…
Frances At The Fringe!
As previously mentioned here, the truly remarkable and utterly amazing Frances Ruffelle is taking her stunning smash hit 2009 show ‘Beneath The Dress’ to the 2010 Edinburgh Festival! HURRRAH!
‘Beneath The Dress’ is such a unique and brilliantly conceived piece of work… plus, you simply MUST MUST MUST witness Frances commanding the stage at least once in your life – it’s a place where she is in her element, a natural habitat – it’s a complete joy and pleasure to see.

Beneath The Dress – Edinburgh Festival Teaser!
The sensational Frances Ruffelle is taking her hugely successful show, ‘Beneath The Dress’ to the 2010 Edinburgh Festival. ‘Beneath The Dress’ is the musical journey of one woman inspired by “women who like to entertain”. The show which, debuted in London during May/June 2009 – is really rather remarkable… Frances has a unique ability to evoke warmth, tenderness and affection for the music. By the end, Frances not only leaves you feeling thoroughly entertained but as if you have shared in and ‘felt’ her musical journey, as well. ‘Beneath The Dress’ is a MUST see if you’re heading to the festival this year!

Alesha Dixon has revealed that she is in the studio working hard on her new album. She has been working with some new producers and has teamed up with Xenomania and Soulshock & Karlin again. Alesha also said the album has a “summertime vibe” and will be released during the summer! Marvellous!
