Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake, Make Music Again
FIVE years ago, on 11th September 2006, Justin Timberlake released the phenomenally incredible album ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’. It caused widespread excitement and proved he was a worthy and credible bonafide musical genius. Together with producers Timbaland and Danja, Justin changed the face of music – at the time, the record sounded unlike anything else and to this day, it has aged extremely well and stands out as an all time great – we defy anyone to listen to it in 2011 and not think it sounds timelessly AMAZING!

Go on, have a listen to the full seven minute version of ‘LoveStoned/I Think She Knows’ over at we7 in all it’s glory… it’s an absolute masterpiece – the way in which the track moves from the main ‘LoveStoned’ into the ‘I Think She Knows’ interlude is magnificent – it’s a stunningly gorgeous example of how the album is cleverly structured and consistently delivered.
It’s an absolute travesty that we’ve had to live without new music from Justin for FIVE years – it’s mindblowingly devastating in fact! It’s all very great oogling him in his films (which are really rather good too) but really, it’s ALL about the music!
Here are some people who articulate how we all feel about the situtaion much more entertainingly… we owe them a HUGE debt of thanks and gratitude for exposing this truly important and pressing issue – Justin Timberlake, Make Music Again…
Denters AND Timberlake!
The lovely Esmée Denters releases her new single ‘Love Dealer’ today! The track features mentor and label boss Justin Timberlake on vocal duties, he also makes an appearance in the video too. The digital single features 9 remixes of the song, the Chew Fu Radio Remix is DEF worth checking out alongside the original track of course! ‘Love Dealer’ is the third song to be released from Esmée’s stunningly good debut album ‘Outta Here’ – so far it’s one of our favourite albums of 2010 and you NEED to give it a whirl if you haven’t already! You can get hold on the ‘Love Dealer’ remix EP from iTunes by clicking here.
Who Said Romance Is Dead, With Songs Like This!?!
‘Carry Out’ – the new single from Timbaland featuring Justin Timberlake debuted at number 29 on the UK Top 40 single this week - unsurpisingly, well ahead of it’s official May 3rd release date!
The song is entertaining and the video is flashy but it isn’t up to much really (no offence) and there are much better songs on Timbaland’s new album such as ‘Lose Control’ with JoJo or ‘We Belong To Music’ featuring Miley Cyrus – we recommend checking those out instead and/or too!
Is The Debut Album From Esmée Denters Any Good?
Long story short… Esmée Denters recorded herself singing some songs in her bedroom, she posted them on YouTube and lots of people watched. In the process, she caught the eye of Justin Timberlake who signed her to his record label Tennman Records in 2007.
So, here it finally is… Esmée Denters debut album ‘Outta Here’, BUT is it any good? Well, YES, it’s actually rather bloody marvellous!
The album kicks off with the awesome and highly infectious recent single ‘Admit It’, before turning to the Ryan Tedder co-written and produced ‘Victim’, which, is a corker. ‘Outta Here’ still sounds fantastic six months on. ‘Love Dealer’ has been lined up as the third single from the album, it’s a good choice too.
Other highlights include the gorgeous ’Gravity’, the reflective ‘Memories Turn To Dust’, and the upbeat ‘Getting Over You’. ‘Bigger Than The World’ is a phenonenomal track – it’s huge sonically and lyrically, it’s very catchy! ‘Sad Symphony’ is a terrific track with clever lyrics and ‘Follow My Lead’ is the perfect upbeat track to close the album.

This Is SOOOOOO Catchy!
Following her Top 10 debut single ‘Outta Here’ earlier this year, the lovely Esmée Denters finally releases her second single ‘Admit It’ tomorrow and it’s an absolute corker! ‘Admit It’ was co-written by Denters with Toby Gad, and was produced by Justin Timberlake… he also provides background vocals and beatboxing duties too. The song has a very ‘live’ feel to it and once inside your head it will stay there for some time! Both of her very awesome singles are taken from Esmée’s debut album entitled ‘Outta Here’, which is due to be released on 11th January 2010!
Click here to visit Esmée’s UK site, whereby you will receive a free download of an album track entitled ‘Sad Symphony’ (which, is rather fantastic) when you sign up to her official mailing list!
If you can’t get the song out of your head, here it is performed acoustically…
Yes, very nice indeed! You can get your hands on ‘Admit It’ from iTunes by clicking here.
Timbaland Returns…
Timbaland is gearing up to unleash his new album ‘Timbaland Presents: Shock Value II’ sometime in December (currently and often, the release date is being changed) Anyway, the album features a whole host of A-list music people from Nelly Furtado, Katy Perry, The Fray, Justin Timberlake, OneRepublic, JoJo and Miley Cyrus amongst others… phew!
The first single here in the UK is ‘Morning After Dark’ which features SoShy (the album version adds Nelly Furtado) The song itself is the usual Timbaland beat but this time in sixth gear! The video is a Twilight (vampire) inspired pastiche, it’s very cinematic… see for yourself!
