I've always loved the original classic from my old clubbing days many years ago now. This version definitely gives the track soemthing a little special. Did you know though that The Source takes its sample from a Jamie Principle track called "Your Love" released in 1985. It's regarded as being one of the earliest "house" records as it was regularly played at the Warehouse in Chicago for about a year before being released. Also working on the tune was the legendary Frankie Knuckles, who, coincidentally colloborated with Satoshi Tomei on the track "Tears" - one of my all time favourite house tunes. The "Your Love" track used to be played all the time at a pub/club called Joshua Brookes in Manchester, they used to have an awesome Saturday night club downstairs that played rare groove, soul, funk, hip hip, hose. Don't know if it even exists anymore though. anyway the Florence version is ace! How's that for some music trivia!! It’s an awesome cover version.
